Caring for Your Denture

Partial and full dentures are detachable. At Dental House, we recommend that you take them out every night and clean them and then store. All dentures shall be cleaned daily or every night using a soft-bristled toothbrush using mild soap. This will ensure that there is no buildup of plaque or bacteria in the dentures.

Keep your denture in a case and soak it in a denture-soaking solution or plain water. If it dries out, the denture can warp and distort. This will affect the fit in your mouth. If dropped or handled poorly, dentures can break or crack. If you notice cracks or any type of damage to your denture, it is important for you to contact one of our dentists at Erindale Dental Centre as soon as possible.
